Science: Digestive and Excretory System
Dear Fifth Graders,
On my blog as you can see you are going to learn about the Excretory system. As you read this paragraph I want you to think about what you have learned about the Excretory system. In some of the text it will be bold. So that way the data will be in your brain, stuck like super glue.
First of all the parts of the Excretory system are, the two kidneys, the bladder, and these tubes. The procedure of the kidneys is that when blood enters the kidneys, they clean your blood.By this I mean that the kidneys separate the waste from the nutrition's. What happens to the waste is that it goes to your bladder. Your bladder stores urine. That urine is the waste that your kidneys have separated from the nutrition's. If you are wondering what the tubes are for then I will explain it to you. So the tubes are useful for the sending of the waste to your bladder.

Ready... Ouch!
Dear audience,
On Wednesday, I had gotten my blood drawn. If your thinking like my blood was drawn with colors and art supplies , no. By getting my blood drawn I mean that a nurse poked my arm with a sharp needle. In my vain!
So this is how it all started... I missed school on Tuesday and Wednesday because I wasn't feeling good, at all! I stayed at home. On Wednesday I went to the clinic so my mom and I had been waiting in the waiting room. Well the waiting room looked more like a living room. O.K. so I got called to go to the room where I will be received/ taken care of.
You know how you get asked questions about your conditions of how you feel sick? That's pretty much what happened to me. Also all that other junk that they do to you when you get checked. After that, I got my blood drawn to see what I had...
...OUCH! I yelled out loud. That is when I got my blood drawn. Well I didn't yell out loud. I actually thought it in my mind.
The procedure went like this...
"Have you gotten your blood drawn before?" asked the nurse/doctor
"Yea" I answered
I got my part of my arm wrapped with rubber. Then I got my vein sanitized well actually my skin. After that the needle came! As you can see my experience was not the prettiest. If you think it's nothing to have your blood drawn try it the second time!

Technology club!
Dear audience,
At school I am in this club called Technology club. At Technology club Mr. Moore has a STELLAR idea. His wonderful idea is to have 6 six screens like smart boards on the schools back wall. Not like the part where the playground is. But on the left end of the school. If you stand on the back side of the school. Anyway if we (Technology club) makes that happen we can show all different students from different grades work. So if we do that everyone who comes to school they can see awesome work.
How will Technology club do that? Well Mr. Moore wrote a grant to the Grant company. A grant is like a huge essay. An essay that tells why you should give something to someone or building. For example Mr. Moore wrote a grant for the whole three sets of smart boards. We got them. But those were three differ essays I think. Well he got us those three smart boards. Which is pretty cool. So now Technology club is going to try to get those six screens. I think that if we do complete this goal that the whole school will know who the Technology club is. Oh and I have an idea too. If six people who volunteer in Technology club to write a grant... Each of us might be able to get a screen! I just wanted to share that wonderful news!

Scare!
Dear audience,
Have you ever gotten scared? Or have you been scared by someone? Also have you scared anyone before? If you have done this or if any of things happened to you I am going to write about Scare. The feeling Scare. If you are wondering why I am writing a post about Scare, well my first reason is that I have to write a "patch" for homework. In my school's fifth grade classes we have to write a page for homework. But back to the point. I scare my baby cousin lots of times. I think that scaring her is pretty funny because when I see the expression of on her face I just get a laugh out of it. But I wonder how she feels? When I get scared by someone I get mad also. Why do I get mad? Well that is a pretty simple answer. I get mad because I don't understand why the person who scared me did that. The second reason I get mad when I get scared is I am not happy after I get scared. I like being happy NOT unhappy. Another feeling that I get when I get scared by someone is laughter. Well the actual name for that is happiness. Well since I have been writing that I get mad and unhappy well I get all these feelings at the same time. On to my next question is about being scared. I know that this might sound dumb to you but I am scared of being alone in the dark. I know this might sound like a five year old scare but this is true. Well I am getting... I GOT over the dark actually. But I am still scared of loneliness in the dark. I don't have much to say about this question but I have got some good stuff to share with you. For example, have you read alone like in your room so it could be silent? Plus your reading a scary story? Well I haven't to addmit the truth. But if you have then please comment on this post so you can make this post the most intresting intense post. Well I will type later. Thanks for reading my "patch"!

Dear audience,
At my school we are having a Science Fair! Which is really AWSOME! So I just wanted to write a post about this exciting event on my blog. Eees!
Dear audience,
In our school we have Eees. Eees are small laptops that are portable without cables to use Internet! Ms. V's class has white Eees and some of my class mates in Mr. Moore's class are jealous. Yes I am also jealous. But I appreatciate what I have. Plus I really do like the white ones. These Eee's enhance our learning because all the websites that we have we wouldn't have on paper. For example our wikispace. If we only had paper, we would fix our writing with pens and it would look like a mess. Also you can have as many pages as possible in your folder! I think... If you click on the link that says wikispace you can see what I mean. Or another example is this morning our class played Grammar Ninja, which helps you with grammar. If we didn't have the Eee's and just had a paper to write on... that would've been no fun. So after all Eee's came come in handy!

Reading
Dear audience,
In independent reading I am reading the book Roman Diary. This book is about A girl who was going to move to Rome from Greece. The girl was not moving alone. She was moving with her family to. Which are Mom, Dad, and her little brother. The family was traveling by boat. Until when the family was moving to the boat there was a Pirate ship that was going towards the boat with the people who were going to travel to Rome. The pirates fought over people to get goods I believe. If not I guess they just wanted to take or kill people. I don't know why they do those things. But I wish I knew so I would've stopped them. Well the girls parents had gotten taken away by the pirates. So the girl and the boy had been sold as slaves. At first I didn't know that Romans were sold. Mr. Moore had told me that not only black people were slaves but that there were also other raises that were slaves. I was surprised when Mr. Moore had told me that. Because in fourth grade I only learned about black slaves. But I guess not. Well after they got sold... The girl was in a break down. I say that she was in a break down because she cried that she didn't want to be a slave and that she wanted to be with her parents. Also the girl had missed her brother. Her brother was at the same place with her but serving differently than what the girl was doing. Guess what happens next?...

Smart Boards!
Dear audience,
At our school we have Smart Boards.Smart Boards are big touch screen board. These touch screen boards are very high in technology. They have so many settings. For example, there is this kind of document that you can write on. The kind of markers you use for these boards do NOT have ink. Because if the markers had ink then they would ruin the board. The smart board can be controlled by the computer, the tablet by mouse, by the tablet with the pen also. The last way that you can control the Smart Board is by touching the screen. Our Smart Board that we have in class has a tool in the back that can roll the Smart Board up or down. Why do we have that? Well because maybe short people or smaller kids might be in this classroom. Also that way the kids can write or use the Smart Board. I have had two great experiences with the Smart Board. For example when my Eee wasn't clicking on math games Mr. Moore gave me a chance to play games on the Smart Board. The other time was on this meeting my friends, other people, and I had a meeting. After the meeting I asked Mr. Moore if we could write on the Smart Board and he said... "Sure." I told my friends that it was possible! We were so excited. We wrote on different colors and patterns. I do really love Smart Boards! I think that is it is important for kids too. I think that Smart Boards are important for kids because they can use these to understand whatever they're working on better. For example, if kids are working on math. If they are working on shapes, angles, division, multiplacation, or whatever it is the Smart Board can do it. I know that the Smart Board is like using paper. But instead of making a multiplacation table by hand you can just click and your ready to go. You will be shocked by the Smart Board. I think that all kids that have Smart Boards are lucky. The ones that have a Smart Board in every room are also very lucky. My friend goes to a school that has smart boards in all rooms.I think that, that is pretty cool. I think that when we all grow up to be adults that there will be all kinds of technology. I hope there will be. Also I will tell my future students about how much technology and Smart Boards we have now. But I think that they're going to think that this is noothing. I think that they will think this because I think that there is going to be more technology then than now. I hope that the Smart Boards inspire teachers around the world to have them. People who have not seen Ssmart Boards are shocked, mind blown, amazed by what these can do. I also bet that people around the world will use the Smart Boards more than anything. I think that they will use the Smart Boards more than any thing because I think that it'll be easier for them to save things in the computer or Smart Boards than saving theem on papers.
